Serving Rural New Mexico for 45 Years!

Who Am I?

I’m Patrick Henry Boone IV – a 5th generation rancher in eastern New Mexico who loves God, my family, and the people of my area.

Hello Friends, I’m Pat Boone. Many of you may already know me, but some may not. I’ve lived and worked in this area my whole life. I grew up working this land alongside many other hardworking men and women who call District 27 home.

Our families have been ranching in this area since 1912. I grew up riding alongside my father and grandfather, learning the tricks of the trade. Pride in our communities runs deep for me. I married the love of my life, Cindy, in 1975. She’s been by my side through our 49 wonderful years together, and I’m truly blessed to have her. Cindy loves this area as much as I do. That’s why we decided many years ago to take on the family business. We wanted to continue ranching outside of Elida. We still call the Boone Ranch home. It’s where we spend every spring branding cattle on land passed down for generations.

My Children & Grandchildren:

Cindy and I have two children, Sarah and Patrick Henry V (Cinco). Our daughter attended and graduated from Elida High School. Our son attended and graduated from Portales High School. They also both got their undergraduate degrees from Eastern New Mexico University. They’ve both left the area, but hold it fondly in their hearts. This area of New Mexico is home to them. It is where their roots began, and they’re proud of it, much like we are.

Our daughter Sarah is now married to her husband Jeremy, and they have a son name Teal. He is thirteen. Cindy and I spend our free time on the road attending Teal’s baseball games. We are proud grandparents. So we try to make sure to always make time for our family.

Cinco, our son, was part of the 2001 Portales High State Basketball Championship team. A feat we know many in the area are still proud of. He’s been coaching basketball for the past 18 years, so we’ve spent many years watching him. He’s married his wife Renae and they’re expecting their first child in August. We are so excited for the addition to our family. Renae is carrying our sweet baby granddaughter and we pray for a healthy pregnancy for both mom and baby.

My Faith:

We’ve attended First Baptist Church in Elida for many years. I’m a proud supporter and member of the High Plains Emmaus organization. I’ve worked closely with many on growing their faith and walk with Christ. It is an organization very close to my heart, and one I’m proud to be part of. My faith is the foundation for all I do, and I’m thankful to have people around me with similar values.

I have a servant heart. I’ve spent much time in prayer about this journey, and I trust that God is leading me to public leadership. That is why I am humbly seeking your vote as the next Senator for New Mexico’s District 27. I’d sure appreciate your vote, friends.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me. God bless!

Pat intimately understands rural communities!

I am writing to offer my enthusiastic endorsement for Pat Boone, who is running for the New Mexico Senate District 27. Having known Pat for many years, I can personally vouch for his unwavering dedication to our community, his genuine commitment to the values that matter most to the people of our district, and his unwavering faith is Jesus Christ.

As both a friend and a spiritual mentor, I have known Pat as an integral part of the Elida and rural Eastern New Mexico community. His deep-seated dedication to the betterment of our community is evident in every aspect of his life, and I have no doubt that he will continue to serve us with the same level of passion and integrity when elected to the Senate.

Throughout his years of service and involvement, Pat has consistently demonstrated his steadfast support for the school district in which I serve. His tenure on the Elida School Board stands as a testament to his commitment to education and ensuring that our schools have the resources and support they need to thrive. Pat understands the importance of education in shaping the future of our youth, and he is dedicated to fostering an environment where every student has the opportunity to succeed while instilling in them a work ethic that is beyond reproach.

One of Pat’s most admirable qualities is his rural and agricultural mindset. He intimately understands the unique challenges faced by rural communities and is dedicated to finding practical solutions that address our specific needs. Whether it involves supporting local ranchers and farmers, advocating for rural infrastructure improvements, or promoting economic development in our rural areas, Pat has proven time and again that he is a tireless champion for rural interests. His belief in our way of life is not just rhetoric; he lives it every day and will work tirelessly to protect it.

Moreover, Pat is a man of strong moral character. His integrity is beyond reproach, and he conducts himself with honesty and sincerity in all his endeavors. When Pat gives his word, you can trust that his “yes” means yes and his “no” means no. In an era marked by political cynicism and distrust, Pat’s unwavering moral compass is a breath of fresh air and serves as a beacon of hope for our community.

In conclusion, I wholeheartedly believe that Pat Boone is the right choice to represent us in the New Mexico Senate. His proven track record of advocacy, his rural mindset, his moral character, and his steadfast commitment to our community make him an outstanding candidate. I urge my fellow constituents to join me in voting for Pat Boone for Senate District 27!

My Vision

For Senate District 27

I am concerned about water and our kids’ education.

Without water, none of us could survive. That is why I feel water is one of my top priorities for our District and state. I will keep my eye on the progress of the Ute Water Pipeline and look forward to the day it delivers water to us. The drought has made it difficult to plan our future. Any sources of water availability need to be assessed for the betterment of our towns.

Currently, our Governor is trying to put in place a 5-day school week as a rule statewide. I am adamantly opposed to this legislation. Our rural 4-day schools have proven that the concept has is successful. Student test scores have improved. We’ve seen the reduction of student truancies. Parents and teachers agree that attitudes are better. The operation reduces costs by approximately 20%. Santa Fe needs to leave our 4-day school-weeks alone.

For New Mexico

My greatest concern for New Mexico right now is our open borders.

As a nation, we cannot continue to absorb the masses of people crossing our borders without any vetting. There is a process by which we could welcome immigrants to New Mexico. Currently though, the situation is a human-crisis. For everyone’s sake, we need to develop a more humane process for vetting these immigrants. Once implemented, it will ensure the safety and well-being of everyone. This includes citizens and immigrants.
